Chase Ultimate Rewards can move to 14 airline and hotel partners — Transfers post to most partners within minutes to a few hours, in 1,000-point increments. Airlines and Marriott/IHG are 1:1. World of Hyatt is 1:1 from Sapphire Reserve / Sapphire Reserve for Business, but 4:3 (1,000 UR -> 750 Hyatt) from Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred for cardholders approved on/after 2026-06-15; existing Preferred/Ink cardholders keep 1:1 until 2026-09-30 and drop to 4:3 on 2026-10-01. Transferring to the right program is where these points beat their 1.25¢ cash value.

Where the value is
- World of Hyatt — 1:1 only from Sapphire ReserveHyatt is still the standout Chase redemption: category 1-4 hotels book for a fixed, relatively low number of points, so on a good night the value per point often clears our conservative estimate by a wide margin, and there is no cash-transfer path into Hyatt. But the ratio now depends on the card: Sapphire Reserve transfers 1:1, while Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred transfer at 4:3 (new cardholders since June 15, 2026; everyone from October 1, 2026). At 4:3 the Hyatt math is 25% worse — run it before moving points.
- Short-haul on Avios or UnitedBritish Airways and Iberia Avios price short nonstop flights by distance, so brief hops can be cheap; United is useful for domestic and Star Alliance economy. Value depends entirely on the route and date you actually fly.
