Common questions

How is this different from the card pages?

A card page tells you what a card is today. This tells you what changed, which is not recoverable from today's data at all — it requires having recorded yesterday's. Every entry here is a difference between two checks we actually made, not a reconstruction.

Is this everything that changed?

No, and it is worth being precise about that. It covers what we snapshot: annual fees, welcome bonuses, card status, cards entering or leaving the database, the point values we score with, earn rates and their spending caps, and statement credits being added, removed or changing amount. Earn-rate tracking began on September 15, 2026. It does not record which categories a rotating card pays in a given quarter (a new quarter is not a change to the card) or a category-of-your-choice list, and other benefits such as insurance and lounge access are not tracked. Anything before the snapshot mechanism existed is absent, except three welcome-offer moves recorded directly against the issuers' own pages.

How often is it checked?

Every time the site is rebuilt, against a stored snapshot from the previous build. Card data itself is re-verified against issuer pages on a rolling basis — welcome offers at least every 60 days, which is enforced by a check that blocks a release if they slip.
